I have long been thinking of the idea for a public blog or two; however, I've only wanted it/them to be public to strangers and family members and friends.
Sound odd? Maybe. But it makes sense really. I don't generally care what strangers say, but because of the content, they could, should they be interested, bring a unique perspective to my thoughts about my town, my lists, my general ramblings. This is a way for me to stay tuned in to my friends and family, so it goes without saying that I want them involved.
But there are, unfortunately, a list of people in my life that I not only do not want involved in making comments or even reading my blogs; I don't want them to know about my blogging period. That could be tricky, especially considering I intend to keep my blogs public. So I guess that means I just have to trust that my super secret email and the hopefully lack of Internet footprints I'm leaving behind--combined with the stealthy efforts of said family and friends--will keep my awesome endeavors under wraps.
What exactly is this endeavor you ask? Well I have to give a lot of the credit to my husband. He mentioned that he was going to make a list, just for himself, of all the things he liked to eat and places he liked to go in Fort Collins. I suggested that would make a great blog and give suggestions for people who were looking for reviews. Too much work, too silly. So I'm commandeering the idea. When I write about places that serve mainly meat, well, that obviously isn't my review. I have to give dear hubby credit not just for the blog idea, but for many of the restaurants I'll be featuring.
The blog will grow and evolve, changing and adapting as necessary. But as for now I know we are going for a great gastric ride through Fort Collins (and in some cases, beyond), and some of the other topics I'll tackle will be where to go and what to do, movies, books, and in general, my ramblings.
I know, you can hardly wait.
I am looking forward to reading you blog :) Hopefully one of your entries will tell about the yummy soup place or the amazing doughnut spot!
